RCMP in Ladysmith say they’ve wrapped up two month drug investigation with several arrests, but they’re not offering many other details.
The Ladysmith Detachment has been working with the Island District and E Division on the Lower Mainland, although the investigation focused on trafficking within Ladysmith itself.
RCMP say undercover officers bought heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and GHB – also know as the date rape drug – from 6 different suspects. They were all living in Ladysmith.
Police aren’t saying how many arrests have actually been made, and they’re not releasing names or charges or addresses.
They say the investigation, which they’ve been planning since late last year, is still ongoing.
