Around 200 people gathered outside the RCMP detachment in Sechelt for a candlelight vigil for the 3 RCMP officers killed last week in New Brunswick.

A regimental funeral for Constables Georges Gevaudan, Douglas Larche and Dave Ross is being held Tuesday in Moncton.
Nanaimo RCMP are hosting a service, at 1pm at St. Paul’s Anglican church for Island police and first responders who couldn’t go to Moncton.
Constable Gary O’Brien says, unfortunately, they won’t be able to open it to the public because of a space crunch. He also says Nanaimo RCMP are also appreciative of the community support they’ve seen over the past week.
O’Brien says the public is welcome to watch the memorial procession. It will start at 12:30 at the RCMP detachment on Prideaux Street and will make its way from there down Fitzwilliam to the church.
