Highway 101 between Davis Bay and Sechelt was down to single lane alternating traffic for a short time on Friday, as RCMP responded to a crash that caused minor injuries.
Just before nine on Friday morning, Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision between a 1976 Jeep and a Freightliner.
The big rig was making a left turn off of the Sunshine Coast Highway onto Snodgrass Road and while many vehicles stopped to allow the truck to turn, the Jeep’s brakes failed.
The Jeep sustained significant damage, including a flat tire and a tow truck was called to clear the vehicle from the road.
RCMP were on scene, directing traffic for a short time.
