Powell River is getting some funding from the provincial government.
The province is dolling out $110 million which is meant for investments in infrastructure, like water and sewer, and policing.
Most is coming from the Small Community Grants program with the rest from Traffic Fine Revenue Sharing Transfers.
The Small Community Grants program is meant for municipalities with less than 20,000 people.
The Traffic Fine Revenue Sharing Transfers are meant for municipalities with populations of 5,000 or more that are directly responsible for paying for policing services.
