A beach fire down at the end of Shorncliffe Avenue has destroyed a small homeless camp.
The Sechelt Fire Department Fire Chief says the beach fire was left smoldering and it spread to a homeless shelter, into some logs and underbrush.
Crews were called to the area around 4 on Saturday afternoon after someone saw the plume of smoke.
Fire crews were able to knock down the fire in a couple of minutes.
No one was hurt.
