Davis Bay Parkway a reality

The area along the shore in Sechelt’s Davis Bay is now officially a linear park.
And that stretch of Highway 101 is going to be known, at least informally, as the Davis Bay Parkway.
When the Ministry of Transportation announced plans a few years ago to change the road design people complained it would make the area less pedestrian friendly, and less attractive.
That’s when the Davis Bay Parkway Society swung into action.
President Lockie Brock says the unveiling of the “Davis Bay Parkway” signage isn’t the end of the job.
Other improvements happening along the Parkway include a new mural on the previously plain wall of the public washroom and the restoration of the historic Davis Bay Wharf, which is beginning this week.
