Davis Bay Wharf restoration gets rolling

This is a day to celebrate for a group of Sechelt residents who call themselves the Wharf Rats.
Construction is due to start on the Davis Bay Wharf restoration.
The 600-thousand dollar project is being paid for through a combination of private donations and money from the District of Sechelt, the Island Coastal Economic Trust and the Community Forest Legacy Fund.
Marg Pearson is one of the original Wharf Rats.
The work is getting started a little later than hoped, and it’s supposed to take 6 to 8 weeks, which means the Wharf won’t re-open until early or mid July.
