The teachers’ contract dispute spilled over into the Legislature Monday, as NDP leader John Horgan tangled with Education Minister Peter Fassbender in Question Period, on day one of the BCTF’s rotating walkouts.
Today (May 27th) teachers in the Nanaimo Ladysmith district are hitting the picket lines. As a result schools are closed.
And unless ongoing talks bring a deal, teachers in Qualicum will walk out May 28th followed by teachers on the Sunshine Coast on May 29th.
