Vancouver Coastal Health is trying to get more Sunshine Coasters involved in the My Health My Community survey.
VCH says they’ve only got about half the number they’d like, and the deadline is coming up. The survey needs to wrap up on June 30th.
Medical Health Officer, Paul Martiquet, says the data they’ve already got is good enough for a big picture look at things, but with more they could do things like compare communities.
Martiquet says all information is kept confidential, and people who don’t want to go online can get a paper copy of the survey by contacting the local health office.
VCH is also using incentives to get people to participate. People who fill out a survey could win a prize and in addition to the regular prize, a community referral contest is being launched this month. People will be entered in a draw for a total of $6,000 in prizes when they have their friends and family complete the survey. All draws will take place once the survey closes.
