Gibsons council sworn in

It’s official now.
Both the councilors and the Mayor of Gibsons are sworn in.
Mayor Bill Beamish who addressed hundreds of residents at the inaugural council meeting said he’s looking forward to the next four years with this current council.
“We are committed to doing the things we said we would. Affordable housing, protections of the Gibsons aquifer, mitigating and adapting to the effect of climate change and reviewing and updating bylaws like the Official Community Plan.”
Stafford Lumley will be serving as the Deputy Mayor.
And for the Sunshine Coast Regional District, Beamish will serve as the main representative while David Croal will serve as the alternate.
