Sunshine Coast RCMP is warning the public about a fake parking ticket that’s received lots of complaints.
A fake parking ticket has been left on people’s cars saying they need to pay a fine of $142.
The ticket also offers a quick pay option of $75 and directs them to an online site that offers another payment option through PayPal.
Police say there are multiple spelling mistakes on these tickets which hopefully would alert most people that these are not official tickets, but someone just giving the ticket a quick glance may fall for the scam.
If you know who is handing these tickets out, you’re asked to call the RCMP.
