The Official Community Plan for the Pender Harbour and Egmont area has been updated.
It’s the first update of the that OCP since 1998.
“This new plan introduces a vision for the area,” said Andrew Allen, Manager of Planning and Development with Sunshine Coast Regional District.
“It updates the goals. There will be a background update because they’re using modern data which relates to current trends and the current population of that community. The OCP will also introduce permit areas where which outline areas of geotechnical hazard.”
Allen also said they’ve consolidated some of the land-use designations to simplify and make this a document that’s more meaningful for the community.
