A local resident on the Sunshine Coast wants to compete at the Olympics in 2020.
Competitive pistol marksman Allan Harding who lives in Gibsons will be travelling to Mexico next week with the hopes of qualifying for the Pan AM games.
“I’ll be Guadalajara, Mexico for ten days competing at the Championship of the Americas,” said Harding who is also a Senior Engineer for Adobe.
“There will be competitors from the North and South American countries there and will be a good test.”
Harding will be travelling to Mexico on October 31st.
“I’m off of work this week so I’m doing a lot of training and this weekend I’ll actually be flying to Calgary for a competition there. That event will be good for me and I’ll be able to determine where I’m at and how I’m feeling before going to Mexico.”
Harding added if he does well in Mexico and can make a splash at the Pan AM games then, he’ll be preparing for the Olympics in Tokyo.
