There’s a race for mayor in the Town of Gibsons.
Silas White pulled himself out of the running for mayor after the close of the nomination period last Friday and then a council candidate stepped up to the plate.
Bill Beamish withdrew from the slate of potential council candidates and submitted a nomination for mayor.
Now, he’s got company.
Blake MacLeod has also submitted nomination papers for the mayor’s chair.
The deadline for this round of nominations is Monday at 4.
