B-C’s auditor general for local government is highly critical of the City of Rossland in her first performance audit.
But, the mayor of Sechelt, which is also being audited as part of the AGLG’s same look at “Capital Procurement and Asset Management”, says we shouldn’t read a bigger trend into it.
John Henderson says Sechelt, like the other communities in the group, is still working with the AGLG.
Henderson says he’s looking forward to the AGLG’s recommendations once all the audits in the group are done, and he says he’s hoping they’ll contain practical advice for municipalities across the province.
