Powell River-Sunshine Coast MLA Nic Simons is looking forward to what he believes will be an open a conversation with the community.
The NDP MLA on the Sunshine Coast week with fellow Green Party MLAs Sonia Furstenau and Adam Olsen.
Proportional representation along with a variety of subjects will be up for discussion.
“The fact that we’re going to be there together it shows that MLAs are able to talk, get along and discuss issues,” said Simons.
“And we will also push issues that are of particular concern to each individual MLA. We want to talk about the tougher issues that the government has to deal with.”
The public will have the chance to attend a lunch event at the golf course in Roberts Creek on Thursday or they can attend an open forum at the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse later that night.
The forum is being organized by the local Sunshine Coast BC Green riding association and will and the guest speakers with include Adam Olsen and Sonia Furstenau.
