Oceanside RCMP say "foolish and dangerous practice" behind recent explosions

2 people are facing charges after a second explosion tied to drug production in rural Oceanside.

Oceanside RCMP say the explosion and fire happened last Thursday evening in a trailer park on Shawn Road in Coombs.

2 youths suffered minor burns. Police say they admitted to using butane to make cannabis oil when they accidentally triggered the blast.

A similar explosion back on March 10th at a home in Dashwood sent three men to hospital with burns and serious injuries.

RCMP say they’re hoping the incidents serve as a warning against what they call “a foolish and dangerous practice.”
