The CRA’s Daljeet Grewal says if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation there are volunteers who can do your taxes for you……
Last year, over 2,500 community organizations and more than 16,000 volunteers filed over 765,000 returns for Canadians.
In Nanaimo, if you qualify, you can get help with your tax returns at the Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society, the Salvation Army Community Services Office, or at Volunteer Nanaimo Income Tax Service.
In Parksville, contact District 69 Society of Organized Services or SOS.
In Sechelt, you can get help, if you qualify at the Sechelt Community Resource Centre, Vancouver Coastal Health – Sunshine Coast, and at the VCH Home Care Office.
