Since BC Ferries made some schedule changes in the new year, the on-time performance rate for the Sunshine Coast has improved significantly.

Diana Mumford with the local ferry advisory committee says the schedule change is one of the reasons the on-time performance is improving but people are also frustrated with the wait between the late night sailings.

She says if you’re visiting Vancouver and looking to return home at night, you could be waiting a while.

In March of 2016, BC Ferries was on time 67 per cent of the time for route 3, whereas this year, that number is at 89 per cent.
