Minister keeps an eye on Nanaimo
The Minister of of Municipal Affairs and Housing says there needs to be some sort of permanency with regards to the positions of CAO and CFO at the City of Nanaimo.
Both the Chief Administration Officer, Tracy Samra and the Chief Operating Officer, Victor Mema are on leave as a result of two unrelated issues.
Selina Robinson says she is aware of what is happening with regards to the staffing issues in the Harbour City…..
As far as the dysfunction on Council, Robinson says there is some work underway with her staff and the Union of B.C. Municipalities to identify a framework for a working council
