With a decrease in ferry fares, Sunshine Coast residents should expect to see an increase in traffic.
Diana Mumford, Chair of the local ferry advisory committee says that could be problematic for local residents.
Mumford says she has noticed a positive change from BC Ferries recently and believes the fare reduction is also a positive.
The change in rates will go into effect starting April. As well, the seniors’ free travel that happens from Monday to Thursday is also be returned after it was scrapped by the previous Liberal government.
