The RCMP are looking for clues after a Nanaimo lady in her late 70s fended off a home intruder at her home on Winchester Avenue earlier this week in Nanaimo.
Constable Gary O’Brien says it happened on Monday around 8 at night and the suspect managed to leave empty-handed.
Police dogs arrived on scene within minutes but mounties had no luck finding the person.
The suspect was wearing a dark coloured balaclava and is approximately 5 ft. 5 with a slim build and wearing dark clothing.
