Nanaimo residents will have an opportunity to get a peek at the inner workings of the Nanaimo Courthouse. Saturday is Law Day in Nanaimo, part of the Canadian Bar Associations Law Week across the province.
Lawyer Michael Warsh is Chair of the Nanaimo Law Day Committee. He says it’s all about teaching people how the system works and what resources are available.
Warsh says it’s a great chance to tour the courthouse, hear from guest speakers and even take part in a mock trial. He says the RCMP’s visit is always a highlight of Law Day.
Law Day runs from 10:00am-2:30pm on Saturday, April 5, at the Nanaimo Courthouse. The RCMP demonstration will take place outside at 1:00pm.
