Dozens of vehicles vandalized in Parksville

Oceanside RCMP say dozens of vehicles were damaged when a suspect went on a vandalizing spree on the weekend.
Police say between 1 and 4 in the morning on September 30th they got several cars after people woke to find their vehicles damaged.
In at least 7 different locations in Parksville a suspect started their mischief by spray painting foul language on a few cars.
Then they started opening doors of unlocked cars, stealing small items, and leaving the doors open allowing the rain to get in.
The suspect then stole a knife from one of the vehicles and used the knife to slash vehicle seatbelts and scratch the exteriors of other cars.
Police say thousands of dollars of damage was done and anyone who might have information is being asked to call.
