A majority of the sports field controlled by the Sunshine Shine Coast Regional District will be shut down until further notice.
Ian Hall with the SCRD says the fields are shut down for user safety as well as to protect the field.
Brothers Field and Pender Field at Lions Park will remain open.
If your sports team is impacted by the closures, Hall says to contact the regional district.
