Howe Sound Pulp and Paper is getting set for their annual power boiler shutdown at the mill.
Siew Sim says dilute, non-condensable gases the odourous pulp mill gases will be vented to the air from and the shutdown is happening from today until August 5th.
She says the annual maintenance is typically two weeks but this year they’re looking to do more extensive repairs on their power boilers.
