Above average response to BC Ferries consultations

At the halfway point of the public engagement process with the Sunshine Coast and Bowen Island, BC Ferries has received 3,200 responses, through an online survey regarding schedule preferences.
That response is above average.
BC Ferries spokesperson, Deborah Marshall says some themes are emerging and officials have adjusted the approach that’s being taken…
Another common theme from the process has been community concern about the schedule examples being shown in the online survey.
The workshops are done now, but Marshall says the process will continue at the terminals and officials will be at the Gibsons Public Market this Friday and at the Jazz Festival in Gibsons on Saturday to gather information.
The whole discussion is set to wrap up by July 5th and then BC Ferries will come back to the communities with schedule options later in the summer.
