Police have released more details following the fatal shooting in Nanaimo yesterday (Wed).
A 34 year old man died in the shooting that happened in the lobby of the Howard Johnson Hotel in Nanaimo.
Charges have now been laid in connection with the shooting.
30 year old Brandon Tyler Woody, of Victoria, has been charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of possessing a firearm while prohibited to do so.
Woody has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance in Nanaimo on Tuesday, May 2nd.
