For the second time this year, Nanaimo RCMP are looking into an arson at the Bay in Woodgrove Centre.
Just before 5 Sunday afternoon someone set fire to clothes in a corner of the store. It was a small fire, quickly brought under control with fire extinguishers and the sprinkler system.
Nobody was hurt, but it prompted an evacuation of the building.
The earlier arson back on January 2nd followed the same pattern, and police are saying they think the same person may be responsible. RCMP also say, thanks to video surveillance, they’ve got a “person of interest” in the case.
