Stolen goods recovered by Nanaimo RCMP

The Nanaimo RCMP Street Crimes Unit has recovered a wide range of stolen items from a shed in the 200 block of Pine Street.
On Tuesday, they found two semi-automatic assault rifles, a scooter and numerous bikes. The scooter is worth about $3000 and the bikes are estimated to be worth about $15,000. RCMP officers are in the process of contacting the owners.
Sgt. Sheryl Armstrong says they also siezed a quantity of heroin, marihuana, cocaine and crystal meth.
Charges of possession of stolen property, possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a controlled substance were laid against a 43-year-old Nanaimo man.
He will be appearing in Nanaimo Provincial Court on Thursday, March 13.
