Leg resumes sitting Monday

Representatives from major forest industry unions, environmental organizations, local elected officials and First Nations, recently held a rally for sustainable forestry in Port Alberni.

That’s one of the issues, MLA for Nanaimo-North Cowichan says the province has to address soon.

The leg is being recalled to specifically deal with legislation announced last week to deal with ensuring transgendered people are explicitly protected in the BC Human Rights Code and a vacancy tax for the City of Vancouver.
MLA for Nanaimo, Leonard Krog says the legislation proposed for the Vancouver housing market doesn’t make sense….
The sitting is expected to be a short one, lasting only 4 or 5 days.
