BC Transit says there is a demand for a direct bus connection from Ladysmith to Nanaimo.
But Senior planner, Shilpa Panicker says the Regional District of Nanaimo is not yet ready to add that to the system….
Panicker says the District has indicated it is something they would consider….
In the meantime though, there are some changes that will be made to the Ladysmith system.
Among them is a pilot project for a bus that will travel direct from Ladysmith to Duncan 3 times a day, Monday to Friday.
That service will start October 3rd.
