The chair of the SCRD is glad that he went to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities annual conference, which was held in Winnipeg.
Garry Nohr says they made it a priority to attend this year’s conference.
The main focus of the conference was climate change, broadband connectivity, First Nations relations.
Nohr says he attended several workshops on internet broadband because he feels the Sunshine Coast is slipping behind on broadband, which is important for economic development.
