No concerns for wildfires on the coast just yet

Wildfires in northeast B.C. have now claimed at least one home and several outbuildings.

There are 21 fires in the Fort St. John zone, and 16 fires currently in the Dawson Creek zone.

But for the Coastal Fire Service, Marg Drysdale says we are looking better this year than last.
She says June rain will make all the difference with regards to the forest fire situation.
Last year there were one hundred and 95 forest fires and Drysdale says the severity of the fires was quite extreme in the Coastal Fire Centre region.
