The Nanaimo Foundation is looking to hand out its annual grants and in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation there’s more money to go around this time.
Development Officer with the Foundation, Laurie Bienert says last year the organization received ten times the requests they were able to grant so the extra money should be welcome news to registered charities and municipalities who can apply.
Bienert says there’s no ideal grant applicant…..
The only catch is the money granted, up to 15 thousand dollars, must be used for a capital project.
