Wounded Warrior Run makes Nanaimo, on track for Victoria Friday

6 runners making their way down the Island to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project are in Nanaimo.

The project helps veterans deal with mental health issues.

Dan Bodden is one of the organizers of Wounded Warrior Run BC. He’s also one of the runners, and he says despite foul weather, and physical challenges they’re in high spirits

Bodden says they’ve already doubled their original goal of 5 thousand dollars.

The runners leave from Serious Coffee on Commercial in Nanaimo at 9am Feb 20th morning.  They expect to arrive in Ladysmith around 11:30 and Duncan at 3.  They plan to be in Victoria Friday the 21st.
