The Town of Gibsons has been served with a Petition that was filed in the BC Supreme Court.
The Petition seeks an Order requiring the Town follow the road closure process outlined in the Community Charter.
Specifically, the petition deals with the George Hotel project and Winn Road.
A Gibsons spokesperson says there has been no application to close the road yet and so the petition is premature.
The petition is asking the court to impose an order restraining the Town from disposing of, transferring or alienating a part of Winn Road, in particular without publishing notice of the proposed disposition.

The Town has ten days to respond to the court.
