The District of Sechelt will be celebrating their 30th anniversary on June 30th and council is planning to use 35 thousand dollars to celebrate.
Connie Jordison, spokesperson for the District says although they are still awaiting quotations and approval, one of the items they hope to get is a painting of the anniversary mural on the Friendship park washrooms.
Jordison says they’ll be looking for a mural which recognizes the history of the District and also celebrates the 30th anniversary.
