A middle aged woman died this (Tues) morning after she was struck by a truck in Nanaimo.
The woman had been walking very close or within a marked crosswalk when the accident happened around 6:30.
Police are still investigating, but say the woman was wearing dark clothing and it was raining when she was struck.
She was not carrying any identification.
The driver of the full size pickup called 911 and remained at the scene to talk to police.
