The Chair of the Sunshine Coast Regional District says water security will be a major priority in 2016.
Garry Nohr says the drought this summer was a bit of a wake-up call.
Nohr says a Sunshine Coast-wide economic development strategy should also come together in 2016, once they get all the local governments to agree to the 5-year plan.
Nohr says he also hopes they’ll be able to bridge the public transportation gap created when Malaspina Coach Lines stopped running.
Nohr says they’re reaching out to the province for help on that.
