RCMP on the Sunshine Coast pulled two impaired driver off the road on Friday.
Police had a Counter-Attack road check set up on Highway 101 at Largo Road in Roberts Creek. They watched as a vehicle approached, and then turned around a took off in the opposite direction. Police followed it, and eventually found it parked on the shoulder, with two men getting out. The driver appeared to be intoxicated, and failed a failed a roadside alcohol screening test. He was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
RCMP also stopped a 47-year-old driver from Sechelt at a road block on Highway 101 near Monkey Tree Lane. He also failed a screening test and had his car impounded.
