Nanaimo RCMP are looking for a man who tried to sexually assault a 15-year-old girl on Thursday.
Sergeant Sheryl Armstrong says itĀ happened around 4:00pm as theĀ girl was walking along the railway tracks between Fifth StĀ and Hecate Street.Ā A man came up behind her and threw her to the ground.Ā Luckily, a passerby saw what was happening and yelled, which sent the suspect running towards Milton Street.
The suspect was white, in his mid 20’s to early 30’s, approximately 6’0″, with a slim build and a long blond beard or goatee. He was wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, and a brown plaid shirt.
