Susan Standfield’s long wait is just about over.
The Gibsons woman went public last month with the story of the bureaucratic limbo that was keeping her husband, son and daughter stuck in South Africa.
2-year old Meg was denied entry to Canada, because of confusion over her need to apply for citizenship.
Standfield says a citizenship consultant who heard her story came forward to help, and the attention spurred some government action, and now the rest of her family is due in Vancouver at noon Wednesday the 25th.
Standfield says she’s getting pretty excited.
Standfield was reluctant to go public at first, but says now it made the difference.
