Nanaimo RCMP have a 37-year-old male man in custody after he allegedly assaulted a woman in her home five days ago.
Chas Thomas was arrested at a home in the south end of Nanaimo early this morning.
He has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Thomas was allegedly involved in an altercation with a 32-year-old woman, who suffered significant bruising.
Thomas is expected to appear in Nanaimo Provincial Court on Thursday afternoon. The judge will be determined whether he should remain in police custody or be released on conditions.
