Sunshine Coast governments urged to keep Progress Plan top-of-mind

The Progress Plan, an ambitious strategy for improving the economic well-being of women on the Sunshine Coast, is nearly a year old.

And the groups behind it say they’re determined to make sure it doesn’t gather dust

They’ve been talking with local governments this month, and encouraging them to use it to guide budgets and strategic directions for 2016.

Anne Titcomb of the Community Resource Centre told the Sunshine Coast Regional District, the Plan is a reflection of what the community wants.

Titcomb also says the Centre and others have already spun out their own initiatives from the plan, including a new 2 1/2 year Connecting Women for Success project.
