A big new development proposed near Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in Sechelt got some cautious support at a public hearing last night.
SSC Properties wants to take land zoned for a golf course, hotel and mixed residential and create something they think will be a better fit with the community.
Some concerns were raised around why the development wouldn’t be required to hook into municipal sewer, and where it would get a water supply.
Some of the people worried about sewer said with a stand alone treatment system, effluent could be released into Sechelt Inlet.
