Concerned Powell River residents are speaking out on Island Timberlands’ logging plans within the municipal boundary (see above map, courtesy Save Lot 450).

She says they aren’t the only ones rallying around the issue.
Island Timberlands hasn’t been making many public statements about the logging plan, beyond saying they’ll do the harvesting carefully.
City officials say they have been meeting with the company.
