The ferry schedule has shifted on the route between Gabriola Island and Nanaimo.
Gabriola Ferry Advisory Committee Chair John Hodgkins says it should address some of the key issues they were having.
But as a trade off, Hodgkins says they’ve had to combine the early morning departures from Gabriola.
Hodgkins says, even though those early-morning sailings typically weren’t very busy, some people will certainly be impacted by the change.
He says the new schedule changes reflect the main things the community indicated they wanted to safeguard, in a survey the Gabriola FAC did last year.
