More than 100 tickets were handed out yesterday in the Nanoose Bay area while RCMP officers were out looking for drivers using electronic devices.
Police across BC are involved in a month-long crack down on distracted driving.
Corporal Micheal Elston is with RCMP Traffic Services
Elston says 27 drivers were handed $167 dollar tickets, and lost 3 points.
15 drivers were ticketed for speeding, and 18 for having illegally tinted windows.
There was also a small drug seizure, and some brass knuckles, which are a prohibited weapon, were confiscated.
