Some Nanoose Bay residents are breathing a sigh of relief now that Wildflower Marijuana has withdrawn an application to build a production facility in their neighbourhood.
The company was eyeing up a piece of property next to the River’s Edge subdivision.
Lehann Wallace was among a vocal group of residents who opposed the project from the start.
Wallace says the situation highlights the issue created by a decision to allow medical marijuana production on all ALR land in BC.
Wildflower still has an application in with Health Canada for a rural property in Yellow Point, and they’ve also applied to set up on an industrial lot in Parksville.
